🏆🥇WE ARE JAÉN SELECCIÓN 2023!🥇🏆

Jaén Selección has announced the #AOVES worthy of representing the quality of #aceitedejáen nationally and internationally.

It is a real pride that our work is valued in this way and a real reward for the work of the entire team that has made it possible to receive this award.

It is our first year in the elaboration of green oil from #cosechatemprana the “Freshly Made” EVOO that you already know.

Thank you for your trust, but above all and from the heart, thanks to our farmers who have given the best of themselves, growing their best fruit, to our oil mill master, Antonio Molina and processing technicians and also all the team that we form in the cooperative, the Sierra Mágina Denomination of Origin that without your advice would not have been possible and to the Governing Council that lead the course of all our new projects.

We reach everywhere

Germany, France, Italy… receives the best oil in the world, Señorío de Camarasa, anywhere in Europe. We ship frequently to all European cities. This photo was taken by Pilar, to whom we delivered his last order in Milan.  Enjoy the best of Spanish cuisine wherever you are!

We Reduce Our Carbon Footprint

We reduce the emissions that our work entails in two ways: by efficiently using the energy we need and by offsetting emissions with environmentally friendly practices, such as recycling or the use of alternative energies. For example, we reduce the wastewater resulting from the processes in our mill, through a novel system of evaporation using solar energy.

This commitment has been recognized by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food with the seal of the Carbon Footprint Registry. Carbon dioxide compensation and absorption projects. We have worked hard for it, but it was loyalty, justice and solidarity with the environment to achieve it.

Our prize, your prize

One more year the Santa Isabel cooperative has achieved the First Accésit Lechuza Bodegas Grandes Award for the largest amount of certified oil (that is, the highest amount of production of the best oil, which we are so proud to bottle). If you are a cooperative you can already be happy, because this is also your prize; If you are one of our friends and customers you already have another official certification of why you like our oil so much.

And, among all the farmers who make Señorío de Camarasa we have achieved that no less than 60% of our last harvest is considered not only a good oil, but an extra virgin oil of the highest quality.

And we have all made it possible in a traditional way, as it has always been done: taking care of our olive trees with care so that they produce the best olives and, once we have it on the tree, controlling that the collection and transport of it is careful and allows us to select the best fruits to elaborate those 862,000 kilos that the Denomination of Origin Sierra Mágina has awarded and that we bottle so that we all enjoy them with taste and health.

Twinned in Quality

This month we have visited, with the help of the D.O. Sierra Mágina, the facilities of the company Dompal (Domingo del Palacio) in Alcobendas (Madrid). This meeting allowed both companies to get to know our respective products and business models: Dompal is a reference in the distribution of both acorn-fed Iberian hams and other quality products (many of them protected by the seal of different designations of origin). Our cooperative was able to introduce them to our extra virgin olive oil, picual variety and made in Jaén, certified by the D. O. Sierra Mágina.

It was a real privilege to share the time and experience with these professionals, not only for what we learned, but for the good harmony that reigned in the meeting. We found synergies between the two companies: “Our goal is to serve quality to the customer,” said Juan Carlos Tejero, General Manager, and after visiting the Dompal facilities and tasting their products, we can say that it shows when someone, like us, enjoys their work, and puts all their love into making the product tastier and healthier for consumers.

Señorío de Camarasa, protagonist of Cereceite

Cherries with oil? No doubt! The perfect pairing in which only the most ‘foodies’ (said of high-flying gastronomy fans) and the town of Torres, in Jaén, have discovered. For example, several of the dishes that could be tasted in the fourth edition of Cereceite 2017: Cherry gazpacho, salmorejo with cherries, oil ice cream seasoned with cherries… a gastro-experience of quality, flavor and health where the extra virgin olive oil of picual variety, Señorío de Camarasa, plays a fundamental role.

Endorsed by the Sierra Mágina Denomination of Origin, the Santa Isabel de Torres Cooperative was not only faithful to the meeting, but sponsored part of it aware that initiatives like this value our outstanding product, as reflected in the Ideal Sierra Mágina newspaper, where Señorío de Camarasa has been the protagonist during the month of June. A gastronomic event not to be missed.
